New Jersey residents have lost their minds as unidentified drones run rough shot over sensitive areas of New Jersey and New York.
The latest theory is that they are part of the US Navy's "Special Access Program", a Top Secret type of Federal program the details of which can't (or won't) be shared with local authorities.

The large mysterious drones reported flying over parts of New Jersey in recent weeks appear to avoid detection by traditional methods such as helicopter and radio, according to a state lawmaker briefed Wednesday by the Department of Homeland Security.

In a post on the social media platform X, Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia described the drones as up to 6 feet in diameter and sometimes traveling with their lights switched off. The Morris County Republican was among several state and local lawmakers who met with state police and Homeland Security officials to discuss the spate of sightings that range from the New York City area through New Jersey and westward into parts of Pennsylvania, including over Philadelphia.

The devices do not appear to be being flown by hobbyists, Fantasia wrote.

Dozens of mysterious nighttime flights started last month and have raised growing concern among residents and officials. Part of the worry stems from the flying objects initially being spotted near the Picatinny Arsenal, a U.S. military research and manufacturing facility; and over President-elect Donald Trump’s golf course in Bedminster. Drones are legal in New Jersey for recreational and commercial use, but they are subject to local and Federal Aviation Administration regulations and flight restrictions. Operators must be FAA certified.

New Jersey residents frustrated with a lack of answers regarding dozens of potential drone sightings in the skies above their homes are threatening to take action on their own if the government doesn’t start providing answers.

James Ward, a Jersey Shore realtor, shared video on Facebook that he said showed “SUV-size drones” above Island Beach State Park taken Sunday.

It’s difficult to judge their size in the clip, which showed a number of lights hovering in the sky.

“Dozens of SUV-size drones in all directions,” the caption read. “Emerging at same time and flying over the ocean and then heading in different directions – what do you think?”

Even as authorities in Seaside Heights use drones to try to get a peek at the flying objects, they still don't have answers. This situation is similar across New Jersey, New York City, and the Philadelphia area, causing frustration on Capitol Hill.

U.S. Rep. Chris Smith joins “Elizabeth Vargas Reports" to discuss the large number of mysterious drones that have been reported flying over parts of New Jersey in recent weeks. Smith is one of two Republican Jersey Shore-area congressmen calling on the military to shoot down the drones, citing safety concerns. "Many law enforcement people have told me, including one chief of police, that he was skeptical. Then he saw a dozen of them," Smith said. "And they're in formation."
